Rehearsals were under way in earnest this week for the return of Dumfries’ Big Burns Supper festival.
The new alternative format for the popular entertainment tribute to the Bard will centre on the Loreburn Hall and will feature an immersive theatrical “party experience” over the next two weekends.
Home-grown cabaret Le Haggis is back with a stunning array of talented artists and each of the four one-off evening events will feature a guest performer.
The first will be tonight, Le Haggis featuring The Bootleg Beatles, and tomorrow’s event will feature Colonel Mustard and the Dijon 5.
Doors open at 6pm with Le Haggis starting at 8pm and then the visiting act at 11pm.
Special family editions of Le Haggis will also be held on Sunday at 1pm, and again on January 22.
