Final Fantasy 14 is finally crossing over with the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy sometime next year, but before the collaboration was set in stone, FF7 Remake director Naoki Hamaguchi was careful to not step over the MMO's patch cadence.
Speaking to GamesRadar+ about the crossover and Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, in an interview from Fan Fest Berlin, Hamaguchi reiterates that developers on the Remake trilogy were "heavily involved" in the upcoming crossover event. Not only is original Final Fantasy 7 writer Kazushige Nojima serving as a story supervisor, the rest of the team is collaborating on assets that'll be used in an Evercold raid series.
