January is the month to binge, with a new year meaning plenty of new TV shows and films we can sink our teeth into.
So, while you're trying to stick to your New Year's resolutions, treat yourself to an evening on the couch with these new shows. There's plenty coming to Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, and Now TV.
Netflix is set for a huge beginning to 2023, with new series of all your favourites arriving on the platform, as well as a range of new films. Amazon also has new series coming out, as well as some old classics coming to the streaming platform.

Netflix
New limited series Kaleidoscope is coming on January 1 - and you can watch the episodes in any order. Madoff: The Monster of Wall Street, a limited docuseries about Bernie Madoff’s infamous $64 billion-dollar global Ponzi scheme, is arriving January 4.

Amazon Prime
A new Scottish series The Rig is coming to Prime on January 6. The show is directed by Line of Duty's John Strickland and stars Martin Compston, Iain Glen, and Rochenda Sandall. Also coming to the platform next month is season two of Hunters, following a gripping first season that was released in 2020. You can get a free trial here.

Disney+
New film The Menu, which was released in cinemas last month, is arriving on Disney+ in January. The film follows Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult as a young couple experiencing a memorable night at a reclusive chef's (Ralph Fiennes) restaurant. Each Wednesday throughout the month, a new episode of the Disney+ Original series National Treasure: Edge of History and Willow will debut. You can get Disney+ here.

The long awaited The Last of Us series by HBO will land on NowTV in January, a serialisation of the hit video game released in 2013. Romantic Getaway is also releasing on NowTV, a comedy starring Katherine Ryan and Romesh Ranganathan as an ordinary couple who find themselves caught up in a high-octane adventure after they steal £500k from their dodgy boss.
