To mark International Women's Day, we bring you the story of an isolated religious community battered by sexual abuse. "Women Talking" stars Rooney Mara, Claire Foy, Jessie Buckley and Frances McDormand, among others. Canadian writer-director Sarah Polley's adaptation of Miriam Toews's 2018 novel is based on a real-life mass rape case in a Mennonite community in Bolivia. Over four years, men drugged wives, daughters and mothers and raped them – blaming ghosts, demons and hysteria. The director sat down with FRANCE 24's Eve Jackson to tell her more about making the film. We also hear from the lead actresses.
