Film produced by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle set for US release

  • Cookie Queens, a documentary executive-produced by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, has been acquired by Roadside Attractions for US distribution.
  • The film, which explores the American Girl Scouts' annual cookie-selling tradition, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and is slated for a cinema release over the summer.
  • The Duchess of Sussex, a former Girl Scout, shared her personal affinity for the film, describing it as a powerful depiction of an American tradition.
  • This development follows reports that the Duchess's 'With Love, Meghan' series did not rank among Netflix's top programmes, and her lifestyle company, As Ever, ended its partnership with the streaming giant.
  • Separately, the Duke and Duchess are preparing for a trip to Australia next month, where the Duchess is set to be the main attraction at an 'ultimate girls’ weekend' event in Sydney.
