Film photography gave me romance, but digital photography gave me the image I actually wanted

I think I have finally let go of film photography – and writing that sentence feels far harder than I expected it to.

For years, I have been a true advocate of film. Not in the fashionable, surface-level way where people buy a point-and-shoot, load a roll of Portra 400 and call it a personality trait, but in the full, messy, hands-on, deeply rewarding sense.
