Fiji is heading towards a hung parliament with 99 per cent of the vote tallied and no party coming away with a clear majority.
The former opposition Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) is in negotiations with the FijiFirst government and People's Alliance over which it will support in the likely case of a hung parliament.
Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama's FijiFirst party is ahead in the tally with 42 per cent of the vote while People's Alliance and the National Federation Party - which have already said they would join forces - sit at 36 and nine per cent respectively.
