Fight outside bar, Liverpool fans urged to boycott travel firm and missing mum

Woman rushed to hospital after fight between men outside bar

A woman was assaulted during a fight in Liverpool city centre.

Merseyside Police attended the incident at Temple Court, at around 4.10am on Monday, May 2. A 43-year-old woman was taken to hospital after suffering injuries.

Detective Inspector Chris Saidi said: "We think the man pictured may have vital information to help our enquiries so if you know him, please come forward. If you recognise him or were on Temple Court at the time of the attack and may have seen what happened please do let us know.

"The assault happened during the early hours of a busy bank holiday Monday in a central part of Liverpool when people may have been leaving restaurants, bars and nightclubs in the area. If you were in the area at around 4am and witnessed the incident or anything suspicious and have captured images of those involved via your mobile or CCTV footage please contact police as a matter of urgency."

Liverpool fans urged to avoid 'savage' company when travelling to Paris final

A number of the city's political leaders have called on Liverpool fans to boycott P&O Ferries.

The Champions League final takes place on Saturday May 28, with fans expected to make the journey to Paris to watch the team take on Read Madrid. However, political leaders have urged fans to avoid using the travel firm in stance against the sacking of 800 P&O Ferries staff members.

Ian Byrne tweeted: "Can I ask that all the Reds who are travelling to Paris to watch the mighty Reds on the 28th May boycott P&O Ferries & use other alternatives following the savage sacking of 800 seafarers & show the solidarity we are famed for."

Liverpool mum missing after night out in Manchester as family issue urgent appeal

Worried family members have launched urgent appeal to find a Liverpool mum who did not return home after a night out.

Danielle Hill was reportedly last spotted at around 6am Monday, May 2 near Piccadilly station. She was wearing a green Karrimor puffer jacket when last seen, Manchester Evening News reports.

Danielle had attended a festival in Blackburn with friends on Sunday but is believed to have went to Manchester with two other friends. She had attended an event called 'Back By Dope Demand' at the Mint Lounge, in Oldham Street.
