Fifth person dies from Cuba speedboat shootout

  • A fifth person, Roberto Álvarez Ávila, died from injuries sustained in a shootout last month involving a Florida-registered speedboat and Cuban soldiers.
  • On Feb. 26, Cuban soldiers confronted a speedboat carrying 10 armed Cubans from the U.S. who allegedly attempted to infiltrate the island and "unleash terrorism."
