A fifth case of monkeypox has been confirmed in Scotland.
The virus was first identified in the country nine days ago following an outbreak on May 23 in England.
Public Health Scotland (PHS) said those affected are receiving care and close contacts are being identified and provided with health information, advice and, where appropriate, vaccine.
Monkeypox is primarily detected in central and west Africa and is a viral infection only recently detected in the UK.
It is generally a mild self-limiting illness, spread by very close contact with someone already infected and with symptoms of monkeypox.
Most people are said recover within a few weeks.
PHS has been working closely with NHS Boards and other partners to raise awareness of the disease and ensure services are ready to respond.
This includes working with public health organisations in the other three nations in the UK.
Further information on the symptoms of and treatment for monkeypox are available on NHS Inform.
