Brazil scampered to a 4-1 win over South Korea on Monday to storm into the quarterfinals of the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, and the players, led by Neymar, paid tribute to the legend Pele, who watched the game from a Sao Paulo hospital while getting treatment for a complication in his fight with colon cancer.
Brazil took a 4-0 lead by half-time, with goals from Vinicius Junior, Neymar, Richarlison and Lucas Paqueta. The second half witnessed a solitary consolation goal from South Korea's Paik Seung-ho.
The Brazil players then unfurled a banner to the 82-year-old Pele, while paying tributes to him and motivating him in his fight with cancer.
