EA Sports will release the second TOTW squad of FIFA 23 this week, with players being judged on their performances during the international break.
The FIFA 23 Team of the Week 2 (TOTW 2) squad is set to be released into FUT23 packs at 18:00 BST on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, so some FIFA 23 players can access the new squad through the full version of the game. Players who pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition of FIFA 23 or are subscribed to EA Play can access the full game from Tuesday, September 27, 2022. And, those players can access the game even earlier with the New Zealand location method.
With all major leagues paused for the international break, the TOTW 2 squad will be based on players' performances for their nations rather than clubs. Liverpool's Mohamed Salah scored twice as Egypt won 3-0, whilst club teammate Virgil van Dijk scored the only goal in Netherlands' 1-0 win over Belgium.
Manchester United's Diogo Dalot and Tottenham Hotspur's RIcharlison scored a brace for Portugal and Brazil respectively, whilst Lionel Messi could also feature after scoring twice as Argentina beat Honduras 3-0. Here are Mirror's FIFA 23 TOTW 2 predictions.
FIFA 23 Team of the Week 2 (TOTW 2) predictions
The FUT 23 TOTW 2 line-up will be picked on single performances only, so goals and assists are not added cumulatively within the TOTW period. Also, note that performances in domestic cup competitions do not count towards TOTW selection criteria.
Only one player from any one team can be included in a TOTW line-up, but during the international break, more than one player can feature from the same team, just not the same nation. Also, players included in either of the last two TOTW line-ups are ineligible, as are players who have featured in a recent FUT 23 promo.
This is just a FUT 23 TOTW 2 prediction, so there is no guarantee that any players mentioned below will be included.
- GK: Kasper Schmeichel (OGC Nice and Denmark) - Clean sheet, seven saves in 2-0 win
- RB: Diogo Dalot (Manchester United and Portugal) - Two goals, clean sheet MOTM in 4-0 win (Featured TOTW)
- CB: Leonardo Bonnuci (Juventus and Italy) - One assist, clean sheet and MOTM in a 1-0 win
- CB: Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool and Holland) - One goal and clean sheet in a 1-0 win
- CB: Manuel Akanji (Man City and Switzerland) - One goal, one assist and MOTM in 2-1 win
- CM: Luka Modric (Real Madrid and Croatia) - One goal in a 3-0 win
- CM: Mateus Uribe (Porto and Colombia) - Two assists and MOTM in 4-1 win
- CM: Seko Fofana (Lens and Ivory Coast) - One goal in 2-1 win
- RW: Lionel Messi (Paris Saint-Germain and Argentina) Two goals and MOTM in a 3-0 win
- ST: Mohamed Salah (Liverpool and Egypt) - Two goals and MOTM in a 3-0 win
- ST: Richarlison (Tottenham Hotspur and Brazil) - Two goals in a 3-0 win
As always, more than 11 players had good individual games over the weekend, so other players that could feature in TOTW 2 are Neymar, Marqunihos, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Olivier Giroud, Javier Hernandez, John McGinn, Bruno Fernandes and more
The EA SPORTS FIFA Team of the Week is expected to be revealed and released into packs at 18:00 BST UK time every Wednesday throughout FUT 23.
