Two new competitions will become available to use in FIFA 23 following Title Update 9, whilst gameplay could potentially revert to its old way following the update.
FIFA 23 was praised on release for its new and updated gameplay, with the AcceleRATE mechanics taking the spotlight off pace and allowing a more technical and realistic feel to the game. But, since the first few months of release, the gameplay seems to be slowly creeping back to the former meta, and updates in Title Update 9 could potentially see FIFA 23 gain an arcade game sense once again.
Title Update 9 will see pace become more overpowered, interceptions become more likely and driven passes more successful, all ingredients to a back-and-forth basketball-like game. This means FIFA 23 could have a FIFA 22 feel to its gameplay for the next few weeks if the updates are as big as they sound.
