Another day, another error in FIFA 23. A number of players have reported that they received Thibaut Courtois' base item in Ultimate Team packs instead of his TOTY item, but compensation is set to be rolled out.
The FIFA 23 TOTY event is well underway, with the full TOTY along with a TOTY 12th man set to be released on Friday, January 27 at 6pm GMT / 1pm ET / 10am PT. The attackers and midfielders from the FIFA 23 TOTY Ultimate XI have already been released into Ultimate Team Packs for a limited time, and from yesterday until 6pm GMT / 1pm ET / 10am PT today, the TOTY defenders and goalkeeper are available.
Achraf Hakimi, Eder Militao, Virgil van Dijk, Theo Hernandez and Courtois are the five players available to claim in Packs, but an apparent error allowed players to pack the goalkeeper's base gold player item, rather than his 96-rated TOTY card. A few players have also complained on social media they are having the same issue with Van Dijk, but we've not seen too much in the way of evidence with this particular item.
