Hundreds of player on EA titles have reported issues accessing online services since around 10am on Thursday, including FIFA 23 and Battlefield via the PlayStation Network (PSN).
Outage tracker Downdetector shows 757 reports at 10.15 am, with hundreds more reports coming in until around midday.
EA took to Twitter to release a statement to customers, writing: “We're looking into connectivity issues with our online services. Our team is working to get things back up as soon as possible, so stay tuned for updates.”

Battlefield also responded to Twitter complaints with a brief statement, promising to have the game up and running soon.

According to Downdetector, 85 per cent of the issues reported are to do with server connection, suggesting that the problem lies in an overall issue with EA’s servers.
A further 11 per cent of problems are to do with logging in, which would also point to a server problem.
