Many FIFA 23 players have been left frustrated and confused by some of the Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) on the FUT 23 Web App.
EA Sports released the FIFA 23 FUT Web App on Wednesday, September 21 at around 18:45 BST, giving players their first taste of FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, but the launch was chaotic, to say the least. The Web App allows players to access limited features in the Ultimate Team game mode, with players able to buy packs, access the transfer market, manage their FUT squad and complete SBCs.
In past FIFA titles, SBCs have been a great way to earn tradable rewards to help gain coins and improve players' FUT squad. But, in FIFA 23, some of the rewards available from the more difficult SBCs are untradable, meaning they cannot be sold on the FUT Transfer Market.
And, a mathematical error from EA also made one of the Advanced SBCs impossible to complete, with the requirements unable to be fulfilled. In the Around the World SBC - part of the Hybrid Nations SBC - the requirements included exactly two chemistry points on each player and a minimum of 24 squad total chemistry points.
But, this was mathematically incorrect, as 11 players on two chemistry points each would total a maximum of 22 squad total chemistry, making the SBC impossible to complete. EA has since fixed the issue, but it still left plenty of time for FIFA players to vent their frustration.
Another issue found by FIFA players was the untradable rewards for these difficult SBCs. Without tradable rewards, players found it difficult to gain coins, buy players and complete other SBC requirements.
FIFA 23 will be released on Friday, September 30, 2022 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC, Stadia, PS4, and Xbox One. Players who pre-order the Ultimate Edition of FIFA 23 or are subscribed to EA Play will be given early access to the game, allowing players access to the game on Tuesday, September 27, 2022.
