The first Live Tuning Update has dropped in FIFA 23, updating some minor problems found by EA in the early stages of the game.
FIFA 23 received a worldwide release on Friday, September 30, 2022, though players with early access could play the game from Tuesday, September 27, 2022. Since its release, the game has had a good reception from fans, despite the major gameplay changes.
Compared to past FIFA's, the gameplay in FIFA 23 feels much slower, with new styles of play and different types of players now being used more often. But, just over a week since players with early access got ahold of the game, EA has made some updates to the game.
The first Live Tuning Update of FIFA 23 was announced on the official EA Forums on Wednesday, October 6, 2022. Tuning updates are only made for minor issues, allowing EA to roll out changes without requiring a full Title Update. There's a new way to take penalties in FIFA 23, and EA has made the decision to reduce the accuracy of spot kicks when the Composure Ring is yellow or red. There's also been a small change made to Technical Dribbling.
Players who don't have the best dribbling stats in-game will now have their level of skill reduced to match their stats when attempting Technical Dribbling. Another new feature in FIFA 23 has received an update, with EA adjusting referees to be more likely to dish out yellow cards for fouls made by the new Hard Slide Tackle feature.
On the other hand, referees will now be less likely to call for fouls when arm-related collisions occur. To make sure the latest update has been applied to you, you must shut down and relaunch FIFA 23.
FIFA 23 is developed by EA Vancouver and EA Romania and will be available worldwide on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Stadia, PS4, and Xbox One on September 30. Early access for FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition begins on September 27, 2022.
