After receiving backlash from the FIFA 23 community, EA Sports has increased the game limit for the World Cup Swaps Live FUT Friendly event.
EA Sports recently decreased the game limit for the World Cup Swaps Live FUT Friendly in FIFA 23. This meant that rather than players being able to play unlimited games, they could only play 10 games per hour. A feature of the FUT Friendly was the Golden Goal rule, meaning the first team to score would win, so players could get through games quicker.
This decision did not go down well with FIFA 23 community, with many players slating EA Sports. Mainly this was down to the Golden Goal feature, as players could potentially complete the 10-game limit in minutes, and were then required to wait for the refresh. But, it seems EA Sports has now made another change, though the new update has received a mixed reaction at best.
EA Sports has revealed via the FIFA Direct Communication Twitter account that the available number of matches in the World Cup Swaps Live FUT Friendly has been changed to 60 per day rather than 10 per hour. This now means that rather than players waiting for a refresh, they can play 60 games consecutively.
Many people reacted well to the update and were happy to see EA Sports taking feedback on board to make the appropriate changes. But, a lot of players were frustrated by the decision, with the new game limit technically less than the 10-game per hour limit over a 24-hour period.
With players able to play 10 games per hour, it meant that during a 24-hour period, players could play 240 games. With the new 60-game limit per 24 hours, this is significantly less, but many 'casual' players are happy with the decision, making it easier for players with limited time on their hands able to play a large number of games and complete the World Cup Swaps objectives.
The reasoning behind EA Sports introducing restrictions on the FIFA World Cup Live FUT Friendly mode could be because of an issue that is banning accounts from playing FIFA 23 if they play the game too many times. Over the past few weeks, since the World Cup FUT Friendly went live, some players have been receiving temporary bans when playing a large number of games in a short period of time.
Unlike past Swaps events in FIFA 22, the FIFA 23 World Cup Swaps tokens can only be earned through Objectives and the FUT Store. Players must complete themed objectives with World Cup player items to unlock these tokens and earn rewards.
