EA Sports are set to hand out free Community Team of the Season (TOTS) items to impacted players after wrongly including TOTS Moments players in the Community TOTS Upgrade SBC.
The TOTS promo is well underway in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, with the Community TOTS and Eredevisie TOTS squads currently available in Ultimate Team. Both squads were released last week, featuring a mix of TOTS and TOTS Moments players.
TOTS is one of the biggest events in the FUT calendar, awarding the best-performing players from real life with heavily boosted player items. In the Community TOTS squad, 15 TOTS items were released alongside three TOTS Moments, with the trio of TOTS Moments all rated lower than 89 overall.
For each TOTS squad released, a squad-specific TOTS SBC is released, where players can submit a squad for a guaranteed TOTS player item. EA has released an Eredivisie TOTS upgrade as well as a Community TOTS upgrade, but an error with the latter now means EA will start to roll out compensation.

When released, the Community TOTS Upgrade SBC's description read: "Earn a Community TOTS Player from the Community TOTS Squad". So, when players completed the SBC only to receive one of the three Community TOTS Moments items, it's fair to say they felt like they were left short-changed.
The inclusion of TOTS Moments meant players weren't getting what they were told, with no mention of TOTS Moments included in the SBC description. Many players took to social media to complain, and EA has since responded, as well as updating the Community TOTS Upgrade SBC description.
From their @EAFIFADirect Twitter account, EA stated : "The Community TOTS Upgrade SBC description has been updated to reflect the inclusion of Community TOTS Moments Player Items. Players who completed this SBC and received a TOTS Moments Player Item prior to this update will receive a Community TOTS Player Item in the coming days."
From the update provided, it seems that not every single person who opened the Community TOTS Upgrade Pack will be compensated, but only the players who received either TOTS Moments Cameron Carter-Vickers, Junya Ito or Ramy Bensebaini.
So, if you have already completed the SBC before the update but are yet to open it, even if you get one of these three players, you won't be compensated. After the update, the SBC's description now reads "Earn a Team of the Season or Team of the Season Moments Player from the Community TOTS Squad!"
