FIFA 23 EA Servers down: players unable to access Ultimate Team as EA release statement

EA Servers are currently down in FIFA 23, leaving players unable to access popular modes like Ultimate Team.

FIFA 23 Ultimate Team traffic is expected to be higher than usual today, with players keen to get on the game and claim their FUT Rivals Rewards that are released every Thursday. With the La Liga Team of the Season (TOTS) promo squad currently available in FUT for one more day, players will be wanting to open their rewards to try and find these players, but an issue with the EA Servers is denying access to all online game modes in FIFA 23.

As players attempt to enter Ultimate Team, a message appears reading "The EA Servers are not available at this time. Please try again later". So, when will FIFA 23 Ultimate Team and other online services become available again?

With the issue only beginning in-game in the past hour or so, EA has now provided an update on the issue through its @EAFIFADirect Twitter, with the statement reading: "We are investigating reports of some players being unable to connect to EA Servers and will provide an update in this thread when available."

EA says that 'some players' are unable to connect, but it seems like the issue applies to everyone, judging from the comments on their update alone. There has been no indication made by EA when the EA Servers will be back up and running, so we are unsure when this issue will be solved.

These last few weeks have been far from ideal from EA's perspective, with this not the first issue to occur in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team. The publisher recently sent out compensation to players after EA wrongly included TOTS Moments players in the Community TOTS Upgrade SBC, though it took a month to arrive.

This happened shortly after EA accidentally release two TOTS players the day before they were meant to enter FUT Packs, and they then repeated this error on an even larger scale weeks later, accidentally releasing the entire La Liga TOTS squad two days before the official release. More compensation has recently been sent out by EA after an error with their Encore Pack that was released in the FUT Store one month ago. EA failed to list the Fantasy FUT Hero Player Pick included in the Pack as a loan item, so impacted players have since been sent the correct items.

EA has stated they will provide an update when the issue is fixed, and we will also update this article once the problem is sorted out.
