After almost three weeks of waiting, impacted FIFA 23 players will start to receive compensation after a mistake with the TOTS or TOTS Moments Upgrade SBC.
A collection of errors over the last few months by EA has resulted in lots of compensation being handed out in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team. The biggest errors seem to be Packs not including the correct content, and this has happened multiple times over the past few weeks, resulting in a backlog of compensation.
EA addressed all of these errors whilst also claiming compensation would be sent out "in the coming days", but this has proven false, with the first bit of compensation now being rolled out almost three weeks after the mistake was made. On June 12, EA released a TOTS or TOTS Moments Upgrade SBC, but the Pack didn't include any TOTS Moments items, forcing EA to remove the SBC from FUT.
And today, EA has announced that compensation to impacted players will begin to be sent out in-game, but not all players are happy, with plenty of promised compensation still yet to be handed out.
FIFA 23 TOTS or TOTS Moments Upgrade compensation begins
17 days after the TOTS or TOTS Moments Upgrade SBC was removed from FIFA 23, EA has claimed that the correct compensation will now be sent out in-game via a statement on its @EAFIFADirect Twitter account.
"Some TOTS Moments Packs from the TOTS or TOTS Moments Upgrade SBC did not contain TOTS Player Items. This was previously addressed, and we have started rolling out corrected Packs to impacted players in-game. We'll update this thread once this has been completed."
Despite EA's confusing wording in the Tweet, players who completed the SBC and received the incorrect items will be compensated with the correct rewards. Of course, it's good to see that compensation is finally being sent out, but the response from the FUT community was not positive, with lots of players annoyed regarding how long it took for this to finally happen, whilst many were questioning the whereabouts of other compensation.
On June 16, a mistake with FUT Champions rewards saw a number of the Red untradable FUT Champions TOTS rewards end up on the transfer market after players were accidentally sent tradable FUT Champions TOTS rewards instead. Again, EA stated that compensation would arrive in the coming days, but that's yet to happen.
Another error last week saw EA wrongly include TOTS Moments items in the 92+ TOTS or Shapeshifter Team 1 Player Pick SBC which resulted in the publisher promising compensation, but once again, this has not been handed out. And, another error that dates back to the beginning of June saw some 100k and 200k Packs for players in the Brazil region include the incorrect items, but with EA having never addressed this issue, it looks unlikely that any compensation will be handed out for this.
