FIFA 23 is out today and with that, MirrorSport has already scoured it for the cheapest players to snap up in career mode with a view to them potentially becoming top players for your side after a few seasons.
The key criteria for our search was age range and contract status. The ten players listed below are all between 15-20 years old and crucially, their contracts are due to expire in 2023.
We've also factored in their growth potential score too. So after their name and club, the next detail you'll see is their age followed by their position. Lastly, we'll list their current overall and then their max potential:

As for the more real-world concerns about how much the latest edition of the world's best-selling sports game will set you back, we have all the bases covered for that too.
We took a look at a number of different retailers to see if they A) were stocking the world's most popular football game and B) what price they were selling it for.
For clarity, we're looking at the price of FIFA 23 Standard Edition for the next-gen consoles (the PS5 and the Xbox Series S or X) - take around about €10 off the price if you're looking for the game for the PS4 or Xbox One .
The majority of retailers have set the price mark at €79.99 or above - though Tesco and Argos are advertising that it will cost £64.99 on their website, which converts to around about €71.99.
A cheaper way to get the game (and also early access to it) is if you're signed up for EA Play.
The subscription service for the gaming mogul costs €3.99 a month and gives you an "all-you-can-eat" access to EA's monstrous back catalogue of games and early access for new games.
Crucially, you also get 10 per cent off the purchase of new or future games - which brings the price on the PS5 store or Microsoft Store to €71.99.
Here's the price list at time of writing on Monday, four days before the game is released.

This will be the last time that we see this FIFA game as we know it, as EA's agreement with the organisation ends after FIFA 23, leading to a new EA Sports FC game from 2023 onwards.
