FIFA 22 Division Rivals rewards re-enabled by EA Sports but players fear FUT bans

EA Sports has confirmed that the unlimited FUT 22 Division Rivals rewards error has been resolved, with players now able to claim their rewards.

Footage was circulating on social media yesterday which appeared to show FIFA 22 Ultimate Team players being able to claim their Division Rivals rewards an unlimited amount of times via the FUT Web App. The error allowed players to log in to FUT using the FUT Web App to claim their Division Rivals rewards, but upon refreshing the page and logging back in, players were given the option to claim their Division Rivals again, and this method appeared to work an unlimited amount of times.

Following the error gaining traction on social media, EA Sports temporarily suspended players' ability to claim their Division Rivals rewards and investigated the issue.

But this morning, as of 04:39 AM GMT, players are now able to claim their FIFA 22 Ultimate Team Division Rivals rewards as normal, with the unlimited rewards error appearing to be fixed. EA Sports also confirmed that players who continued to play Division Rivals games whilst they were investigating the issue will receive rewards based on their results up until they resolved the issue, essentially extending the rewards window.

"This issue has been addressed and Division Rivals rewards can now be claimed," EA Sports said via their @EAFIFADirect Twitter account.

"Players who had not yet claimed their rewards but continued to play Rivals matches will have gained progress towards the previous event, increasing their Rank and corresponding rewards."

However, following the issue being resolved, FIFA 22 Ultimate Team players fear that they may be banned due to claiming their Division Rivals rewards multiple times. These fears seem to be based on a tweet that was sent via the @EAHelp Twitter account, which is now deleted, but it seemed to imply that players might be banned for taking advantage of the error.

Mirror Football has contacted EA Sports to clarify if FIFA 22 Ultimate Team players who claimed their Division Rivals rewards will be banned, or if any action will be taken.

Season 4 of FIFA 22 Ultimate team got underway on Thursday, February 3, 2022, which included a fresh set of season progress objectives, another update to how rewards are earned in Division Rivals, an update of the Division Rivals ladder, and some new rewards for selected ranks.

Division Rivals has a ladder system in FUT 22 where each Division is made up of 'Ranks' that reflect your progress within a Division, but the latest season update has seen EA limit each division to just one rank, with the intermediary ranks now called Checkpoints.

Ranks and Checkpoints are in place to prevent players from losing their progress and ensure they remain at their appropriate skill level, but the new Checkpoints system will not impact weekly rewards.

In addition to FUT 22 changing the rewards and ladder system, one extra 'Stage' has been added into Division 4, 3, 2 and 1, making it harder to advance through the Divisions.

The change in rewards has seen the number of wins needed to unlock rewards increased, with the number of wins required to earn the Weekly Reward upped from three to four, and to unlock the Reward Upgrade, you now need eight wins rather than seven.
