Fibre One 90 calorie doughnut definitely hits the sweet spot

Nothing hits that sugar craving quite like a doughnut, it's gooey, soft goodness is the perfect treat with a cuppa, and with so many varieties on offer at the moment it's hard sometimes to stop at just one.

But if you're calorie conscious and have been denying yourself delicious doughnuts because they're simply too calorific, then we might have found the perfect solution.

Those of you who enjoy a sweet treat as part of a calorie-controlled diet might already be aware of the range of products from company Fibre One, they have a range of low-calorie sweet treats including salted caramel brownies, birthday cake squares, and even chocolate brownies, all under 100 calories!

Now Fibre One has stepped into the doughnut game with their brand new 90-calorie doughnuts in two flavours, Strawberry and Cream and Chocolate. I know what you're thinking, a 90-calorie doughnut, it can't taste that good for just 90 calories, something has to give?

So we decided to put them to the test and see if they in fact could satisfy our sweet tooth, without totally derailing our diet. The first observation is, they're small. Think dinky doughnut size and you're on the right track, but that wasn't going to put us off, good things come in small packages right?

Kettle boiled, cuppa made and it was time to taste. Another observation is they're sticky, they're a glazed donut style so prepare for sticky fingers after.

First bite impressions...they're good, taste like a doughnut, gooey, soft and surprisingly fresh. There is maybe only 3-4 bites in them but to be honest, I don't think I could manage any more. They're super sweet in taste and definitely hit the sugar craving for me.

Overall I was pleasantly surprised, granted they're not going to hit the same as a big doughnut but they will help satisfy that sweet tooth and feel like you haven't totally denied yourself.

You can find them in most major supermarkets across the country now or online via the Fibre One website.
