FHO Racing BMW team issue statement after withdrawing from North West 200

FHO Racing BMW North West North West 200 Superstock Josh Brookes

Thursday night's racing at the North West 200 was marred by controversy after the high-profile FHO Racing BMW team withdrew from the event.

Rider Josh Brookes revealed the team had been excluded from the Superstock qualifying results due to a technical infringement surrounding their bikes' wheels.

The M1000RR machine has homologated carbon fibre wheels which are not allowed in the regulations.
