Fernando Alonso has been making the most of his impressive car collection during the winter break. After being spotted around the streets of Monaco in his extremely rare Mercedes CLK GTR, the Spanish driver has now been seen in his Aston Martin Valiant.
The ultra-rare, road-legal, track-focused sports car was built by the Q department of Aston Martin after being commissioned by Alonso. The 5.2-litre, twin-turbocharged V12 sports car was limited to just 38 units globally, and various reports value it between £2million and £2.5million.
"Perfect Sunday ride. Valiant, you’ve got it all," Alonso wrote on Instagram with photos of him posing alongside the car with his partner.
The Valiant was announced in June 2024 as a collaboration with the two-time Formula 1 champion, and was later unveiled by Alonso at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July of the same year.
"Valour was a spectacular celebration of Aston Martin's 110th anniversary and stirred me to create a more extreme, race car-inspired version that was track-focused, while also delivering a thrilling drive on-road," Alonso said at the time.
"Valiant is born from my passion for driving at the limit and I have enjoyed working closely with the Q by Aston Martin team on both the design and technical specification and believe we have created a masterpiece."
