Fermanagh parents join together to launch baby and toddler market at Lakeland Forum

A group of local parents in Co Fermanagh have joined together to set up the county’s first ever Baby and Toddler market.

Taking place on Saturday April 23 at the Lakeland Forum in Enniskillen , the market will see range of new and pre-loved baby and toddler clothes, toys and accessories for sale.

One of the event’s organisers, local parent Mairaid Kelly, says a lot of the items on sale will be heavily discounted in an effort to help with the rising cost of living prices for families with young children.

"We're really excited to be holding this first event in Enniskillen and hopeful that we'll have a great turnout on the day,” Mairaid said.

“As parents, we all know the impact that the rising cost of living is having on families everywhere, and we're also very conscious of the need to try to live more sustainably, which is why we initially came up with the idea to hold an event that would enable us to sell on the items that our children have loved but no longer need.

We all know there's lots of opportunities to buy and sell online, but sometimes you want to actually see, touch and even try an item, without the additional cost of either travelling for collection or paying delivery costs.

“The Baby and Toddler Market provides the opportunity to do just that, and will have a huge range of lovely items on offer.”

The event came to fruition following a discussion on a local Fermanagh Parent group on Facebook, which local mum Victoria Tracey set up in 2021.

"I set up the Fermanagh Parents group last year to provide a platform for local people to share news and information about things happening in the area,” Victoria said.

“I'm really pleased to see an event like this coming about on the back of a discussion in the group.

“I'd encourage everyone to come on down to see what's on offer on the day, and to join our group where you can find out more about this and other local events for Fermanagh Parents."
