The woman embroiled in a texting saga that culminated in Tim Paine quitting as Australian Test cricket captain will re-appear in court in September over stealing accusations.
Renee Ferguson has pleaded not guilty to allegations she took thousands of dollars plus memberships from Cricket Tasmania, where she worked as a receptionist from 2015-17.
Ferguson travelled from interstate to appear in Hobart Magistrates Court on Friday following an order by magistrate Michael Daly she attend in person.
The case has been plagued by delays since Ferguson was charged by police in 2018.
She left court alongside new legal representation after parting ways with high-profile lawyer Greg Barns QC last month.
The matter has been adjourned to September 29 for contest mention.
Ferguson is seeking financial compensation in the Federal Court in a separate matter, claiming sexual harassment in the form of text messages she allegedly received from Paine and Cricket Tasmania staff.
Paine stepped down as Test captain in November 2021 in the lead-up to the Ashes series against England after explicit messages he sent to Ferguson years earlier became public.
Ferguson allegedly took out Cricket Tasmania and Hobart Hurricanes memberships without paying for them, and stole cash.
She has previously pleaded not guilty in relation to 63 counts of stealing and two counts of dishonestly acquiring a financial advantage.
