Female soldier ordered to pay colleague £1.2k compensation for breaking her nose in jealous, drink-fuelled rage

A female soldier was today ordered to pay a colleague £1,200 compensation for breaking her nose in a jealous, drink-fuelled rage after she saw her posing for photos with a male soldier. Private Aimee Waters smashed Private Charlotte Milner's head into a wall and punched her in the face, breaking her nose.

The violent incident came after the pair were part of a group drinking together outside their barracks, when Pt Milner was seen taking pictures with the male soldier. Pt Milner told a court Pt Waters 'stormed over' to the pair, spilling a drink over her and 'snatching' a phone from them earlier that evening.

Later, Pt Waters 'attacked' Pt Milner, punching her in the face multiple times and breaking her nose in a 'jealous' fury. She denied one charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, claiming she acted in self defence during the incident in June last year. But she was convicted following a two day trial at Bulford Military Court, Wilts, and was today handed a suspended sentence.
