Chelsea's January transfer window already promises to be a busy one. It's expected to be full of contract proposals, pre-agreements, ambitious winter steals and a general continuation of the unpredictable Todd Boehly regime so far. It's been football ownership on fast forward.
The new group have already spent £250m on transfers for the men's team, changed manager and backroom staff, appointed two new recruitment directors with the promise of more and reached an initial deal to sign Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig. It's been six months.
As demonstrated by the humbling 4-1 loss to Brighton on Saturday though, there's still a long way to go and time will be the biggest healer for Chelsea's problems. Fundamentally, Graham Potter is still working with the same group of players that Thomas Tuchel struggled with at the start of the campaign.
