A man was killed and another injured in a shooting in Austin Wednesday evening, according to Chicago police.
Two men, 32 and 33, were inside an apartment in the 100 block of North Lotus Avenue at 7:43 p.m. when they were both shot by another person, police said in a statement. The 33-year-old, identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner as Orlando Santiago, was shot multiple times and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he died.
The 32-year-old was shot in the hand and taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said.
No one was in custody, police said.
