Dramatic home surveillance video from one of Sean 'Diddy' Combs' mansions captured federal investigators in tactical gear executing a search warrant on the mogul's properties last week. The video shows officers rushing into the luxurious manor and escorting Combs' sons out of the premises.
Misa Hylton, Combs' ex-partner and mother of two of his children, shared an edited version of the raid video on her Instagram account. She revealed that her sons had retained the services of high-profile lawyer Jeffrey Lichtman, known for representing prominent figures such as cartel leader Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzman and John Gotti Jr.
Hylton expressed concern over the use of force during the raid, questioning the necessity of pointing firearms at her sons. She emphasized that the aggressive tactics used would not have been employed if her sons were not Black celebrities.
The video footage shows armored vehicles carrying officers in tactical gear arriving at the mansion and entering the compound. One officer is seen knocking a surveillance camera off its mount, while others detain individuals, including Combs' sons Justin and Christian.
Former NYPD member Derrick Parker explained that the raid was prompted by allegations of gun possession and narcotics, leading federal agents to take precautionary measures. He highlighted the need for a SWAT team to ensure a safe operation given the information available.
Hylton mentioned that Lichtman would be investigating the alleged excessive use of force during the raid, emphasizing that it was unnecessary and unwarranted.
Combs' legal team refrained from commenting on the Instagram post, as the raid was part of a federal sex-trafficking investigation into the mogul. Combs has denied similar allegations in recent lawsuits.
Lichtman, while not immediately available for comment, indicated his intention to represent at least one of Combs' sons. He criticized the search warrants as 'over the top' and suggested that the government was not playing fair in Combs' case.
