Mine Hill Township Mayor Sam Morris has extended an invitation to Mr. Kirby, who has expressed skepticism about the recent drone sightings in New Jersey. Mayor Morris suggested a nighttime outing around 9:30 or 10:00 to investigate the matter further.
Mr. Kirby, in response, has questioned the credibility of security personnel at Picatinny Arsenal, the Ocean County Sheriff's Department, and the New Jersey State Police, labeling them as liars. He believes that some of the reported drone sightings may actually be piloted aircraft.
During a White House press briefing, Kirby emphasized that there is currently no evidence to suggest that the drone sightings pose a national security threat or have any foreign involvement. The Department of Homeland Security and the FBI are actively investigating these sightings in collaboration with state and local law enforcement agencies.
Despite utilizing advanced electronic detection technologies, both federal and local authorities have been unable to verify the reported visual sightings of drones. Upon closer examination of available imagery, it has been suggested that many of the sightings are likely manned aircraft operating within the bounds of the law.
The United States Coast Guard has confirmed that there is no indication of foreign vessels being involved in the drone sightings off the coast of New Jersey. Furthermore, there have been no reports or confirmations of drones being sighted in restricted airspace.
