FEC Records Expose Who's Actually Funding the "Democrats for Mike Rogers" Super PAC — and It Isn't Democrats

Michigan Republican Senate candidate, former U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers (R-MI) speaks on stage on the second day of the 2026 Republican National Convention at the American Airlines Center on September 10, 2026 in Dallas, Texas. The Briefing:

  • FEC records made public October 16 show that "Together for Michigan" — the super PAC formerly known as "Democrats for Mike Rogers" — drew its two largest organizational donations from conservative Republican-aligned groups, not crossover Democrats.
  • The PAC's own treasurer, Karen Whitsett, formally left the Democratic Party in March 2026 and had been aligning with Republicans since 2023.
  • AIPAC's super PAC is separately reported to be routing up to $9 million to Great Lakes Conservatives Fund — the same group that donated to seed the PAC — timed deliberately after the October 14 FEC deadline to stay hidden from voters before Election Day.
