Police have mounted a search for three women who all disappeared following a night out this weekend.
Sophie Russon, Eve Smith and Darcy Ross were last seen enjoying an evening out on the town at the popular Muffler social club in Newport, south Wales, on Friday March 3. The Mirror reports that friends of the women, who are all 20, believe the trio were heading to Trecco Bay, over 30 miles away, with two men who are also said to be missing.
Shane Loughlin and another man who is yet to be named have also not been seen since the early hours of Saturday March 4. Worried families of the women say none have been active on social media since disappearing, and have shared photos of them in a bid to trace them.
They were last seen leaving Trecco Bay heading towards an unknown location at around 2am. Eve Smith's car is reportedly still at the Muffler venue, according to her sister Lauren Doyle.
In a post on Facebook, Ms Doyle said: "It is known that they went to the Muffler in Maesglas and then went to Trecco Bay on Friday night but left there to an unknown location during the night. They were last seen at approximately 2am."
She added: "None of them have made contact with friends or family, which is very unusual. We are all worried sick and thinking the worst."
A relative of Mr Loughlin has also confirmed he is missing. His family say they are currently working with the police to try and locate him.
A spokesperson for Gwent Police confirmed that the force is investigating.
