Fearne Cotton has spoken about experiencing intense feelings of “shame” following the conviction of former boyfriend Ian Watkins for a series of child sex offences.

The broadcaster and podcaster, 44, dated the Lostprophets frontman briefly in the early 2000s, years before his crimes became public.
