'Fearless' - Alan Shearer makes Anthony Gordon Everton admission

Anthony Gordon Alan Shearer Everton Frank Lampard

Alan Shearer has admitted that he has been left in awe of Anthony Gordon’s 'fearless attitude' for Everton so far this season.

First handed his first-team chance by Carlo Ancelotti during the 2019/20 season, it was under Rafa Benitez when Gordon began to flourish. Since then the Everton academy graduate has gone from strength to strength and has now established himself as a first-team regular under Frank Lampard.

Speaking after his first game in charge of Everton, Lampard told how he believes Gordon has 'got what it takes' to go a long way. Despite a number of abject performances from the Blues in recent weeks, the youngster has continued to receive plenty of praise from Evertonians.
