Hucknall residents have spoken out about living next to a road where "accidents happen all the time." Watnall Road, in Hucknall, has seen at least four serious crashes over the last four years - and those living nearby have said enough is enough.
Speed cameras were recently introduced on the 40mph road, but some have suggested that they have failed to get drivers to slow down. According to Crash Maps, a traffic monitoring site which documents road accidents, there have been four 'serious' crashes in the last four years, with six incidents of injuries being recorded.
But some residents have stated there have been even more near misses, and have called for more action on the street. Anthony Farthing, 71, who lives on the road, said: "Accidents happen all the time. There have been some serious ones in recent years that I can remember, it's quite scary.
