Threatening graffiti believe to be racially aggravated was sprayed onto a mosque.
Merseyside Police confirmed that threatening graffiti appeared on a wall at Shah Jalal Mosque on High Park Street in Toxteth sometime between 3.15pm on Thursday, February 2, and 8am on Friday, February 3. CCTV, doorbell and other enquiries have been ongoing, as well as reassurance and visibility work in the community.
The graffiti has since been removed by the local authority. Detective Chief Inspector Ben Dyer said: "Such incidents cause understandable fear and distress in our communities, and we will act on all information provided to find those responsible, as well as continuing to monitor the location through our local policing team.

"If you know anything, come forward in one of the following ways, with reference 23000098168, especially if you captured anyone acting suspiciously nearby or captured anything on CCTV or other devices."
