FC Barcelona is reportedly open to selling midfielder Pedri for a specific price, as per sources. Pedri, who emerged as a key player for the club under Ronald Koeman in the 2020/2021 season, is no longer considered an 'untouchable' asset by the team.
Following his participation in both the Euros and the Olympics for Spain, where he showcased his talent and was recognized as the best young player in the tournament, Pedri's playing time at Barcelona has decreased. This situation prompted the club to request the Spanish Football Federation to manage the workload of other young talents like Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsi, who are deemed untouchable members of Xavi Hernandez's squad.
While Lamine and Pau are not for sale at any price, President Joan Laporta revealed that Barcelona rejected a substantial bid for Lamine from Paris Saint-Germain. Pedri, who was once considered untouchable, has reportedly lost that status in the eyes of Sporting Director Deco.
With Barcelona facing financial constraints and needing to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations, the club is open to selling Pedri for €100 million. Despite not having any current suitors, Pedri's talent is likely to attract interest from clubs across Europe, with Paris Saint-Germain previously showing interest in acquiring him.
Although Pedri has faced injury setbacks, he has demonstrated his quality on the field, such as providing an assist in a Champions League match against Raphinha. However, his injury history may impact his potential transfer options beyond Barcelona.
