EA Sports is set to release their FC 26 Holiday Update in the coming days featuring adjustments to goalkeeper movement, improvements to Career Mode and Clubs and the addition of Classic XI Teams in Kick Off. The team is also continuing to review AI defending based on player feedback.
Goalkeeper Movement will see reduced speed and coverage when using Manual Goalkeeper Movement in open play and the Rush To Center mechanic will be removed to make goalkeeping feel more realistic. Goalkeepers will also handle first-time shots more reliably.
Career Mode will expand with new Live Challenges, Live Start Points and Snapshots. Updates will include a field showing players’ contract willingness, a Manager Live Hub tab for quicker access to Live Start Points and retro kit rewards, along with remembered shortcut selections, mascot previews in Create Your Club and clearer Player Career XP and archetype information.
Clubs will get higher Archetype Max Levels, additional PlayStyle options and more Attribute Points. CAM Match Ratings will be adjusted to better reflect performance and Ultimate Team Rush will introduce group rematches.
Kick Off will include Classic XI teams featuring legendary European clubs and visual updates will bring new and updated player and manager star heads, along with a seasonal menu refresh. More details on the update can be found in the Pitch Notes on the official site.
