FC 26 players have fallen into slight trouble on April 2 as the Ultimate Team mode appears to be out of order. The latest issue seems to be global, based on the reaction of the community on social media. While EA Sports has officially acknowledged the problem, there are a few things you can try to play the game in the meantime.
How to fix Ultimate Team mode not working in FC 26
Typically, the Ultimate Team mode requires a persistent internet connection for it to work properly. Whether you're playing in Squad Battles or against other players, you'll need to be connected to the internet. However, several players have reported that they're unable to connect to the servers.
Thankfully, EA Sports is aware of the situation, and a fix should be in the process. However, the developers have yet to announce any ETA on when the problem should subside. Until then, here are a few things you can try out.
- Restart the game completely. If you're on a console, restart the console, and try once again to connect to the servers.
- When the servers are having issues, you can connect to Ultimate Team by repeatedly trying the process. This can be frustrating, and there's no guarantee that you'll be able to connect at all. However, you could end up with Ultimate Team access if you're lucky.
- You can try out the offline modes, and there are different ones to enjoy. I love the Career mode that allows me to be in charge of my favorite club. Since this mode doesn't require any active connection, you won't need to depend on the servers.
Ultimately, the best course of action is to stay patient and wait for EA Sports to fix the servers. This could take several hours at worst, or a few minutes at best. Meanwhile, you can access the web app to complete any SBCs that you might fancy.
