Indian national Major Singh, described by the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a key operative of the Jaggu Bhagwanpuria gang, has been added to the FBI’s Most Wanted list over his alleged involvement in the gang's activities in America.

Singh, 29, faces federal charges in the Central District of California over an alleged conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act and a conspiracy involving the unlicensed trade of firearms.

A federal arrest warrant was issued for Singh on June 25, 2026. The FBI is seeking information that could lead to his arrest.

The agency describes the Jaggu Bhagwanpuria gang as a transnational organised crime group that originated in Punjab and operates in California and elsewhere in the US.

The FBI alleges that the group is involved in racketeering, illegal firearms trafficking and the distribution of controlled substances.

The agency has asked anyone with information about Singh to contact its nearest office, a US embassy or consulate, or submit information through its online tip system.

The development comes after a major international crackdown on India-linked organised crime groups.

Earlier this month, authorities in the US, Canada and Europe arrested 24 people, including 11 in California, in a joint operation targeting three India-based transnational crime groups.

The US Department of Justice has charged 37 people in the wider investigation, including jailed Punjab gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, as part of Operation Hardball.
