Scammers have begun impersonating banks over the phone and then sending an accomplice to come pick up what victims think is a broken debit card.
While most scams involve tricking victims into installing malicious apps on their smartphones or sending gift cards as a form of payment, this new scheme takes things a step further as those who fall for it may end up getting a house call from one of the scammers.
