The FBI investigators have not found evidence of an accomplice to the man responsible for the deadly New Orleans crowd attack on New Year's Day. According to two US law enforcement sources, it is now believed that the suspect, identified as 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabbar, acted alone in carrying out the attack.
The investigation is ongoing, with officials expected to address whether Jabbar acted as a 'lone wolf' at a news conference scheduled for today. Initially, following the attack, the FBI had pursued leads indicating that the suspect may have had assistance. At that time, officials stated that they did not believe he was solely responsible for the incident.
However, as the investigation progressed, the leads suggesting an accomplice have not proven to be accurate, as confirmed by one of the sources. This development indicates that Jabbar may have acted independently in orchestrating the tragic event that unfolded on New Year's Day.
