An investigation is underway following a tragic incident in New Orleans where a U.S. Army veteran drove a pickup truck into a crowd of New Year’s revelers, resulting in the death of 15 individuals. The driver, identified as 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Bahar Jabbar, had posted concerning videos on social media prior to the attack, expressing inspiration from the Islamic State group.
The victims of the attack have not been officially named, but their families and friends have begun sharing their stories. Approximately 30 people sustained injuries during the incident.
