FBI Agent Accused of Luring Rape Victims by Pretending to Be a Woman on Instagram and Offering Models Free Tattoos

An FBI special agent has been charged with second-degree rape after allegedly luring women to his Gaithersburg, Maryland tattoo studio under false pretenses.

Eduardo Valdivia, 40, is accused of using Instagram to pose as a woman and offer modeling opportunities, Montgomery County police said.

Investigators allege Valdivia operated a business called DC Fine Line Tattoos and used the alias "Lalo Brown" to attract victims, offering free tattoos in exchange for modeling his work, WBAL reported. Two women have reported that after signing contracts, participating in photo shoots, and receiving massages, Valdivia sexually assaulted them.

The victims stated they were threatened with legal action if they reported the assaults. "We want the community to know... if you sign a contract, that does not allow for you to be sexually assaulted," Montgomery County Assistant Police Chief Nicholas Augustine said.

Authorities believe there may be additional victims and have asked anyone with information to contact Montgomery County police.

Valdivia, who has been suspended from the FBI pending the investigation, remains in custody.
