Faye Winter 'feels like she's grieving someone' after split with 'soulmate' Teddy

Emotional Faye Winter has spoken out about her split with Teddy Soares, saying that spotlight may have led to their relationship ending.

The Love Island pair, who came third in 2021, were the longest-standing couple from that year's series and Faye, 27, has gone as far as to call Teddy her 'soulmate'. As reported by the Mirror, Faye has admitted that the two are 'from different worlds' and says the pressure of such a high-profile romance became too much to bear.

The former lettings manager accepts it was the right time for the pair to move on - but says the parting of ways has not been easy.

"We’re from very different worlds and we were trying to build a relationship in this very high-pressure environment," she told OK! Magazine.

"We got moulded together, but we had different dreams and ambitions and I had to respect Teddy’s.

"We were so similar and we got on so well – he’ll forever have a very special place in my heart – and it feels like I’m grieving someone."

Faye went on: "It’s so hard. I honestly believed he was my soulmate. It’s always hard to come to terms with these things and him not being there to build a life with.

"But you have to respect each other. It’s a loss, but you’ve got to keep on moving forwards."

Faye and ex-financial consultant Teddy, 28, kept viewers gripped with their fiery on-off romance recently.

Despite finishing third, the pair went on to become the longest-standing couple from the 2021 series. Weeks of speculation about their break-up heated up on Valentine's Day when they failed to pay tribute to each other.

Following this Faye issued a statement to social media confirming that she and Teddy were no more.

"I wanted to let you know that after lots of time and consideration, Teddy and I have decided to go our separate ways. Thank you all so much for supporting our relationship and sharing the journey with us. I'm forever grateful," Faye wrote.
