Ex- Coronation Street actress Faye Brookes has sparked concern by opening up about going through three 'lifequakes' in three months.
The star, who played Kate Connor on the ITV soap from 2015 to 2019, took to Instagram to share an emotional post with her 174,000 followers, as she revealed how she’s been impacted by life-changing events over the last three months.
“Lifequake. Definition; An event that suddenly changes your life – a car accident, a terrible illness, or losing a loved one – in the same dramatic way that an earthquake might destroy a building,” she began the caption.
“Well … here’s the truth of it all. I have faced around three Lifequakes in less than three months and apparently it takes a good 6 months to get over just one…” Faye explained.
“You never know what people are going through.”
She urged those who are also suffering after enduring “lifequakes” to give themselves a break, and to “know that it will be okay”.
“So for anyone who is going through some sort of struggle, a difficult time, feeling like their climbing a constant uphill battle…
“It might not be right now. But it will be. Eventually. Until then, be kind, give others grace, have faith and stay true to you,” Faye wrote, as she stated: “This post isn't for attention.”
Her famous friends were also concerned by her post, as fellow Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan commented: “Hope your okay darling x.”
“Sending (love) I totally understand. Jb,” John Barrowman added.
“I feel you my love! Stay up queen sending lots of love and strength,” Chelsee Healey wrote.
Her kind hearted followers were also quick to send her words of encouragement in the comments, as one wisely shared: “Sending lots of love and light and you certainly have the strength to get through this tough time. Sometimes you don't get over a life quake but you learn a different way of living.”
“Thinking of you Faye, so sorry you are going through this. Sending all my love to you,” another wrote.
The actress later shared a photo of her with personal trainer boyfriend Joe Davies, and told her followers she was grateful for his unwavering support.
“He is my rock,” Faye sweetly captioned the shot.
The former soap star previously dated Gareth Gates, after meeting him on the set of Legally Blonde: The Musical in 2013.
They got engaged on New Year's Eve 2018, but less than a year later, they confirmed they had parted ways.
