The father of the individual who attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump on Saturday, Matthew Crooks, informed law enforcement officials that he believed his son had taken a rifle to the shooting range and was expected back around 1:00 p.m. that day.
When Thomas Matthew Crooks did not return as anticipated, his father contacted the police and reported him missing at 11:00 p.m., according to sources familiar with the situation.
Thomas Matthew Crooks, the would-be assassin, was killed by officers on the scene after attempting to carry out the assassination of former President Donald Trump.
